During my tractor training operations, I gained hands-on experience in the safe and effective use of agricultural machinery. I learned to operate and maintain tractors and associated implements, including front-end loaders, ploughs, harrows, seed drills, and trailers. The training covered key areas such as identifying and using tractor controls, conducting pre-start safety checks, and performing routine maintenance. I developed skills in maneuvering tractors on various terrains, attaching and detaching implements safely, and working with PTO (Power Take-Off) systems. Emphasis was placed on safety protocols, risk assessment, and best practices for field operations. I also learned how to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and ensure proper weight distribution and balance while towing equipment. Training covered key areas including: 1.Pre-operational safety checks and routine maintenance procedures 2.Understanding and using controls specific to each tractor model 3.Safe operation of implements such as front-end loaders, disc ploughs, harrows, seed drills, and trailers 4.Engaging and operating PTO (Power Take-Off) systems correctly 5.Maneuvering on various terrains and working under different field conditions 6.Hitching and unhitching implements safely and effectively The training emphasized workplace safety, equipment care, and practical skills in field operations. I also learned to troubleshoot common mechanical issues and apply safe driving techniques when transporting loads or operating on slopes.
